Dave and Jen’s love story began nearly ten years ago in the most wonderfully ordinary way—with a guy sitting at a bar, watching a girl roll silverware through a window.That guy was Dave. And that girl was Jen.One Saturday, Dave was spending the afternoon with friends watching football at a local Tulsa restaurant where Jen worked. Somewhere between the games and conversation, he found himself paying a little less attention to the television and a lot more attention to Jen as she moved through the restaurant, tending to her tables and occasionally stopping to roll silverware behind a window directly in front of where he was sitting.As fate would have it, Dave was there with Larry, a mutual friend who knew Jen—and who would ultimately become an incredibly important part of their story. Larry noticed Dave admiring her from afar and encouraged him to stop watching and go introduce himself. With a little encouragement and a lot of nerve, Dave finally did. The two struck up a conversation, and Jen agreed to meet him at the bar for a drink when her shift ended.And just like that, something sparked.The next morning, Dave and Jen met for brunch. There was only one small complication: Jen’s car was packed, a U-Haul was waiting, and she was moving from Tulsa to Oklahoma City that very day. What could have easily been the end of a fleeting connection instead became the beginning of something neither of them was quite ready to let go. The following day, Dave drove to Oklahoma City to help Jen and her dad unload the U-Haul—a pretty strong second-date gesture and an early sign of just how determined he was to keep seeing the girl behind the window.For the next two years, they built their relationship across the miles. Weekdays were filled with phone calls and text messages, while weekends were spent soaking up every bit of time together they could. The distance wasn’t always easy, but somewhere along those stretches of highway between Tulsa and Oklahoma City, their relationship grew into something steady, deep, and undeniable. So when Jen was given the opportunity to return to Tulsa for a new job, there was little hesitation. She was finally coming home—to Tulsa, and to Dave.With the distance behind them, their two separate lives slowly became one. They built a home together, took on renovation projects, traveled the world, celebrated new opportunities, navigated change, welcomed new family members, and said goodbye to others they loved dearly. Through the joyful seasons and the difficult ones, they continued choosing each other, building a life not just out of the big moments, but out of thousands of ordinary ones shared side by side.Then, more than eight years after Dave first watched Jen roll silverware through that little window, the two found themselves on another adventure—this time far from Tulsa and traveling abroad. There, Dave asked Jen the question that had been nearly a decade in the making: to be his partner for all the adventures still to come.Of course, she said yes.And while their story has taken them many places since that first Saturday afternoon, it will always begin with a restaurant window, a little courage, one important friend named Larry, and a moment that changed the course of both of their lives forever.

Lauren is Dave’s sister-in-law and Jen’s longtime confidant — she and Phil have been married 15 years and are proud parents to Miles (9) and Preston (7). For nearly a decade Lauren has been Jen’s right-hand gal, always ready with calming advice, a perfectly brewed cup of coffee, and steady support through every bit of wedding chaos. As Maid of Honor, she brings warmth, practical help, and a fiercely loyal spirit to the celebration.

Adriana fell for Bryan, one of Jennifer’s closest college friends, nearly ten years ago. Since then she’s become one of Jennifer’s favorite people and now they even work together at Reed Architecture. With a kind-hearted, gentle spirit, Adriana brings balance and thoughtful perspective to every situation. She loves the color purple, dancing, and her busy, boy-filled home.

Anne and Jen met at OSU School of Architecture about 15 years ago and became best friends after graduation. They bonded over late nights dancing, studying for licensing exams, and (literally) running around Tulsa together. Anne and the King family quickly became Jen’s adoptive family in Tulsa, sharing birthdays, holidays, and countless memories. Steady, fun-loving, and endlessly supportive, Anne brings joy and wholehearted friendship to the wedding as a bridesmaid.

Matt and Dave met more than ten years ago at the Golf Club of Oklahoma and quickly became close, bonding over golf and a mutual love of dogs. Steady and reliable, Matt has been a constant source of support, laughs, and thoughtful counsel through many of life’s ups and downs. As Best Man, he brings loyalty, calm confidence, and plenty of good stories (and golf references) to the celebration.

Phil is David’s brother and a groomsman who keeps family gatherings lively with his quick humor. A talented photographer and natural craftsman, he loves working with his hands—whether woodworking or restoring a classic watch. Phil’s proudest role is family man: coaching his boys’ Little League team alongside his wife, Lauren. We’re so grateful to have Phil standing beside David as we celebrate in Sapulpa.

Steven and Dave met about eight years ago at work and quickly became close friends, bonding over golf, sports, and their love of dogs. Over the years, David and Jennifer have shared many memorable weekends at Steven’s lake house—full of laughter, good food, and easy company. Steven and his family feel like extended family to the two of them, so it means a lot to have him standing beside David as a groomsman on their wedding day.

Larry was far more than a close friend to Dave and Jen—he became family, and he will forever hold a special place in their story. In fact, their story may never have begun without him: one evening at a local Tulsa bar, Larry noticed Dave admiring Jen from afar and gave him the encouragement he needed to introduce himself. In the years that followed, Larry was a trusted confidant, constant friend, roommate, and honorary brother—always nearby for a good time and always the first to lend a hand when it was needed most. Through the happiest moments and the hardest ones, Larry was a constant in their lives, and although he is dearly missed, his friendship, love, and the extraordinary role he played in bringing Dave and Jen together will always be a cherished part of their family and their love story.
